The School Team Challenge is a special heat in which each team will include 3 to 5 members competing for honors as the fastest team. The race follows a one-mile USA track and field certified course along Front Street, from the starting line at Maclay Street to the finish line at Boas Street.

First, second and third place trophies will be awarded. An awards ceremony will be held following the race at Riverfront Park, located on Front Street next to the finish line. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the event and the awards ceremony.

As a special incentive for student athletes to participate in the Smith Barney • Millers Mutual Harrisburg Mile, we are offering a $25 discount to school teams. The total registration fee for schools, which includes a special edition backsack for each team member, is $100.
